The oldest instrument to ever be made was a 60,000 year old Neanderthal flute. Made by the thigh bone of a young bear, it gave birth to what we can start and call music, but how and why did someone think to do this? Was it just a “party trick” or did someone sit down and decide that this sound made them feel good?
Well in the early days of humans people found that clapping their hands made noises and that those noises were something specifically made from them and for others. Eventually someone hit a rock and realized it made the same sound as a hand and didn’t hurt.
Over the years, music evolved over time and it’s always changing. When I see people today who say music is bad now, I think about how generations before us people thought the same thing, and the next generations will say the same about the next (At least the majority).
Knowing this, it should give hope to anyone that they can change things for the better, even if others don’t like it or it seems crazy to always seize the moment. Anyone can innovate, but you have to find something you're passionate about as I am with music, and looking at these articles it makes me realize that I could definitely create something if I try hard enough.
